If your patio heater won't stay lit, this is almost certainly the fix. The Thermocouple & Tilt Switch Pack includes both of the most commonly replaced safety components on Hampton Bay, Master Forge, and Gardensun patio heaters — sold together because they fail at similar rates and replacing both at once saves time and a second shipping charge.

The tilt switch is a safety device that cuts gas flow if the heater tips over. When it wears out or corrodes, the heater thinks it's fallen over even when it's standing straight — causing it to shut off immediately after you release the control knob. The thermocouple is a heat sensor that tells the gas valve the pilot flame is lit. When it fails, the valve closes and the heater shuts off.

Not sure which one is bad? Do the cross-wire test: unplug both connectors from the tilt switch and touch the wires together. If the heater lights and stays lit, your tilt switch is bad. If it still won't stay lit, your thermocouple is bad. Either way, this pack covers you.

Genuine OEM part sourced directly from Gardensun — the original manufacturer. Fits most Hampton Bay NCZH and HSS model tall patio heaters and BFC and GSH pyramid patio heaters.
